In May of 2022, Zack Morris went from a good time at Jazzfest to a bad time in a coma. As a paraplegic wheelchair user, Zack’s had his share of complications due to his disability, and he’s always beat the odds. But this time, dat boy really had us scared. Well, like they say, you can’t keep a good dog down. Zack beat a coma, sepsis, pneumonia and he got back to working full time to boot. It’s been almost a year, but Zack has hopefully just one final hurdle to getting him back on track. In a few months, Zack will be undergoing surgery which will put him in the hospital for 8 weeks. During that time, he will be unable to work at all. The reality of loss of pay, mortgage, student loans, and medical bills may be daunting, but ever a clever Cajun, Zack knew that most things can be made better with a crawfish boil. Zack, his fiancé Anna, as well as a crew of family, friends, and neighbors have come together to bring Zack’s Sacks to a New Orleans backyard near you. We hope you can come by for a good time, good food, and to support a good dude.
