Anna (she/her/hers) is an actor, accessibility designer, musician and director in New Orleans by way of Chicago and Jackson, MS. After receiving an acting degree from the University of Mississippi, Anna spent several years in Oxford, MS focusing on music with her folk duo Chauncey and The Beast and jazz cabaret ensemble Deux Filles de Sangin’, as well as hopping in with artists like Bill Perry, Sanders Bohlke, Cadillac Funk, and various other bands in bars, garages, and greenhouses across the South. After moving to Chicago, Anna completed The Academy training program at Black Box Acting. She became a founding member at Chimera Ensemble, where she has led development efforts to expand programming and education around disability access, as well as performing in and producing theatre. In 2018, Anna graduated as an ensemble member of the The School at Steppenwolf. In Chicago, she has been proud to work with Steep Theatre, Jackalope Theater, Theater Wit, Eclectic Full Contact Theatre and Sideshow Theatre, and of course with her home at Chimera. Her most current endeavors are as an artistic partner with Global Hive Laboratories, where Anna brings her experiences as a performer and accessibility advocate to an international devising community. She is committed to a world that is more welcoming and inclusive.
